In the workshop "The thing with a plinth", children should gain an impression of the contemporary understanding of sculpture and how questions of design have been posed and solved again and again over the decades.
The children design a sculpture using everyday objects. The "objet trouvé" is supplemented with self-made plaster modules. Working with plaster is the first time for many of them, so the whole group has the same knowledge. In addition, working with found objects facilitates the realisation of sculptures and requires little manual skill, which can quickly end in frustration. The aim is to understand an important issue in modern and contemporary art and then solve it yourself.

Im Workshop „Die Sache mit Sockel“ sollen Kinder einen Eindruck be- kommen über das zeitgenössische Verständnis von Skulptur und wie sich Fragen der Gestaltung über die Jahrzehnte hin immer wieder neu gestellt und gelöst wurden.
Die Kinder entwerfen eine Skulptur mit Alltagsgegenständen. Ergänzt werden die “Objet trouvé” mit selbst hergestellten Modulen aus Gips. Das Arbeiten mit Gips ist für viele das erste Mal, somit besitzt die gesamte Gruppe dieselben Kenntnisse. Zudem erleichtert das Arbeiten mit ge- fundenen Objekten die Umsetzung von Skulpturen und erfordert wenig handwerkliches Können, das schnell in Frustration enden kann. Ziel ist es, damit eine wichtige Frage der modernen und zeitgenössischen Kunst zu verstehen und im Anschluss selbst zu lösen.

Nel laboratorio "La cosa con lo zoccolo", i bambini devono farsi un'idea della concezione contemporanea della scultura e di come le questioni di design siano state poste e risolte più volte nel corso dei decenni.
I bambini progettano una scultura utilizzando oggetti di uso quotidiano. L'"objet trouvé" viene integrato con moduli in gesso autoprodotti. Per molti di loro è la prima volta che lavorano con il gesso, quindi tutto il gruppo ha le stesse conoscenze. Inoltre, lavorare con oggetti trovati facilita la realizzazione di sculture e richiede poca abilità manuale, che può finire rapidamente in frustrazione. L'obiettivo è capire una questione importante dell'arte moderna e contemporanea e poi risolverla da soli.
